IFC to invest Rs20,000-cr in Dewan Housing arm

International Finance Corporation (IFC) has agreed to invest up to Rs20,000-crore by subscribing upto 2 million shares in Aadhar Housing Finance Pvt Ltd (AHFL), said Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd in a statement released today.

AHFL is a housing finance company promoted by Dewan Housing Finance and its unit DHFL Vysya Housing Finance Ltd.

This will be 20 per cent of the paid-up capital of AHFL. The companies had entered into a transaction agreement on Friday.

Initially, AHFL proposes to provide retail housing loans in the low income segment in certain states.
